#Hack4freedom

The #Hack4Freedom HackLab is an official pre-event hosted by the Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI) in partnership with Mesurement Lab (mLab), as part of the 3rd Freedom Online Conference pre-events. The HackLab will convene Tunisia’s growing hacktivist community alongside prominent global Internet freedom hackers and researchers.

The HackLab will use the event to launch the #404Lab, a permanent hacker space for Internet freedom. The #404Lab will reclaim the basement of the ATI headquarters, where Internet censorship operations were conducted during the Ben Ali regime.

Build tools to detect and circumventing internet censorship. We will test software and routines against national-level censorship infrastructure. 

Keep websites safe from hacking and attacks. Design better approaches to resist DDoS attacks, social engineering attacks, and unauthorized tracking. Hack on government websites (without going to prison!) in the Pen Testing Competition.

Learn techniques and limits of safely accessing the Internet via satellite devices. Design and document safer approaches to satellite access. Play with fun satellite gear.

Participate in hacker projects based right here in Tunisia that are keeping a free and open Internet around the world.
